Under Heaven’s Watch is the third book in a fascinating continuing series of historical fiction written by a recognized world history scholar with an in-depth knowledge of Asia. The series follows the 19th century Brandt family as their blended family members attempt to bridge the differences between China and the U.S, each in their own way. I found each volume to be compelling and now that I’ve finished volume 3, I cannot wait for the 4th to be published… entitled Heaven Objects. It has been a wonderful journey that I have really enjoyed.
