My research explores the historical forces shaping global connections, focusing on political change, international relations, and the cultural encounters that shaped the modern world. Through academic research and writing, I examine how historical events continue to influence present-day global dynamics and international cooperation.
A major focus of my scholarship examines East and Southeast Asia, particularly the political, cultural, and historical development of the region. My work highlights the evolving role of Asia in global history and the historical relationships that continue to shape international relations today.
Through historical fiction, I explore the human stories behind major historical events. The Sino-American Tales series blends careful research with compelling narrative, bringing readers into the dramatic encounters between China and the United States during transformative moments in history.

I was reminded of some of Pearl Buck's writings. Like hers, the storytelling in this book is very accurate of the times. It is a wonderful story with believable characters and a strong, interesting plot.
