A former Fulbright Scholar Steven A. Leibo aka Li Bo, who spent half a century teaching in schools, colleges and universities throughout the United States, is a historian, scholar, and author whose work explores the historical relationship between China and the United States. Writing both narrative history and historical fiction, Leibo examines the cultural, political, and human stories that connect East and West. His writing combines deep historical knowledge with engaging storytelling while reflecting his own background as a third-generation San Franciscan whose family, like so many of those that come from “the city of the hills” reflects the multi-ethnic nature of San Francisco.
